Watch the highest tides in the world wash over an ancient desert.

Join Cliffs of Fundy Geopark geoscientist for a walking tour at Thomas Cove in Upper Economy, NS. During the tour, visitor can enjoy coastal viewscapes from trails maintained by the Kenomee Trail Society before descending on a wide sandstone ledge, formed in the arid Fundy Rift Valley over 200 million years ago.

• Tour duration: 1-1.5 hours (approximately 2.5km round trip)
• Terrain: This tour traverses maintained trails, natural rock formations, and unmaintained beach.

* Note - The access to the rock ledge from the trail is down a steep section of bank that is not maintained. A rope is tied off to several trees to provide stability for the descent. An optional route alone the beach is available for those unable or uncomfortable with navigating the steep bank.
