Early morning collision claims woman's life

North Sydney, Nova Scotia
At approximately 6:30 a.m. today, a collision occurred on Hwy. 125 near Exit 3. The single vehicle involved was travelling East. The driver lost control, left the roadway, and overturned. The male driver was injured and required hospital treatment for what is believed to be moderate injuries. The female passenger, a 39-year-old woman from North Sydney, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Nova Scotia RCMP was assisted by Cape Breton Regional Police Service with the initial response to the scene. Hwy. 125 has been closed in the area and traffic in both directions has been re routed. An RCMP Traffic Analyst has been called to the scene to assist with the investigation, which is ongoing.
