Conrads Beach in HRM closed to swimming until further notice

Nova Scotia Provincial Parks has issued a notice that Conrads Beach is closed to swimming until further notice due to dangerous rip currents.

Recent weather conditions have increased the potential for dangerous rip currents that can carry swimmers away from shore.

Conrads Beach is unsupervised.

Nova Scotia Provincial Parks is asking residents to choose a lifeguarded beach and swim within the supervised swimming area marked by the red and yellow flags.
