The Nova Scotia Department of Environment and Climate Change has issued statement confirming the presence blue-green algae on Lake Ainslie.

Blue-green algae can be dangerous to people and pets. If there is a blue-green algae bloom present, don’t swim in the water, drink it, or allow pets to swim in it or drink it.
