Today, Nova Scotia is reporting seven new cases of COVID-19 and four recoveries since the August 6 update.

Four of the new cases are in Central Zone and are all travel-related.

Two of the new cases are in Western Zone and are travel-related.

One new case is in Northern Zone and is a close contact of a previously reported case.

Active Cases:

Nova Scotia currently has 16 active cases of COVID-19 with one person in ICU.

Lab tests:

The Health Authority's labs completed 3,489 tests on Aug. 6; 2,430 test on Aug. 7; and 1,673 tests on Aug. 8.

Nova Scotians with or without symptoms can book a test at https://covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/en for primary assessment centres across the province. Those with no symptoms are encouraged to use one of the primary assessment centres with drop-in testing, pop-up sites, or public health mobile units if they want to be tested.

Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms is advised to self-isolate and book a COVID-19 test.
