RCMP investigates fatal single vehicle crash in Tatamagouche
RCMP is investigating a fatal single vehicle crash that occurred on Hwy. 246, Oliver.
At 11:40 p.m., the RCMP, EHS and Tatamagouche Fire Department responded to a single vehicle crash near the 2300 block of Hwy. 246, where a 30-year-old woman passenger, from Westville, died at the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle, a GMC Sierra, veered off the roadway in a sharp turn, over an embankment and overturned onto its side. The driver and two passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and had left the scene.
All occupants were later located by police. The investigation is ongoing. An RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene and the roadway was closed overnight.
