Digby RCMP Detachment and Queens District RCMP are investigating a break and enter and a theft of a vehicle. Police believe both incidents involve the same person.

Police say that on Jan. 23, 2024, at around 11:37 p.m., Digby RCMP officers responded to a commercial alarm on Prince Street in Digby.

According to police, the suspect entered the business through the front door and fled the scene in a blue Mazda with $8,000 in merchandise. No employees were present at the time.

"On Jan. 24, 2024, at approximately 2:10 a.m., a black and yellow 2004 Ford truck was stolen from R&C WEARE LOGGING LTD., in Harmony Mills. A short time later, the truck was located nearby undamaged," police said in a release.

Surveillance footage of the area shows a person of interest described as wearing a hat, a dark hoodie with "CAT" on the front, and rubber boots.
