Halifax police charge two men concerning break and enter in Bedford

Halifax Regional Police charged two men in relation to a break and enter that took place in Bedford on the weekend.

Police say that at around 4:30 a.m., on May 7, officers responded to a break and enter at the Munchies convenience store on Bedford Highway.

"The suspects broke into the store, stole merchandise, and then fled the area," police said in a release.

At around 5:00 p.m. on the same day, police located a vehicle believed to be connected with the suspects in the 100 block of Prospect Road in Halifax. Police arrested the four occupants and seized two replica firearms and property taken from the convenience store.

Police later released two of the passengers without charges.

Two men, ages 18 and 20, are scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face charges of:
• Break and enter
• Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
• Mischief (property damage)
• Possession of property obtained by crime.
