Man taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after stabbing in Cole Harbour

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a stabbing that occurred in Cole Harbour on Jan. 28, 2023.

In a release, police say that at around 1:29 p.m., police and EHS responded to a report of a stabbing on Cole Harbour Rd. in Cole Harbour and learned that a 21-year-old man had been the victim of a stabbing.

The man was transported to hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

Police say that the victim had entered a retail business and was shortly followed into the location by another man.  The man left the premises and then returned with a woman.

The release says the man allegedly stabbed the victim and left with the woman, fleeing in the vehicle they arrived in. Investigators do not believe this was a random act.

The investigation is ongoing and led by the Integrated RCMP/HRP General Investigation Section (GIS) of the Criminal Investigation Division.
