Police investigate stabbing in Lake Echo

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a stabbing that happened in Lake Echo.

Police say that on Saturday, around 2:00 p.m., officers and EHS responded to a report of a stabbing of a 47-year-old woman at a residence on Bumpy Lane in Lake Echo. The woman, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was transported to hospital by ambulance.

According to police, the victim was stabbed at the residence on the previous evening. Police do not believe this was a random act and they have not yet made an arrest.
