RCMP investigate armed robbery at pharmacy on Prospect Road

The RCMP are seeking information from the public after an armed robbery at a pharmacy in Hatchet Lake.

Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a pharmacy on Prospect Road around 6:00 p.m. on May 1, 2023.

In a release, police say a man entered the pharmacy, obtained a safe injection kit, and then brandished a handgun and demanded narcotics. The man fled the scene on foot and police say that no employees were physically injured.

Police describe the suspect as white man, five feet ten inches tall. He was wearing black clothes with grey shoes and had a bandana over his face.

It is estimated that the man obtained more than 2,100 narcotic tablets of various strengths.
