West Hants RCMP arrest man in connection to thefts from vehicles in Windsor

West Hants RCMP arrested a man after several thefts from vehicles in the Payzant Drive area of Windsor.

Police say that on Feb. 21, 2023, at 7:55 a.m., West Hants District RCMP received several reports that vehicles had been broken into overnight, and that items were stolen from within the vehicles.

At least eight vehicles located on Payzant Drive, Fairfield Court, Town Road, and Goosie Loop were involved.

The RCMP says that officers located and safely arrested a 25-year-old Windsor man later in the day. Officers transported the man to the West Hants District RCMP detachment. The man was later released on conditions.

Police recovered some of the items stolen from the vehicles.

Police say the man is expected to face charges of Mischief and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and is expected to appear in Windsor Provincial Court on Apr. 4, 2023.
