Bridgewater police charge three after a home invasion on Murray Drive

Bridgewater Police charged three individuals following a home invasion that took place in Bridgewater on Feb. 18, 2024.

Police say that around 6:30 p.m. officers responded to two 911 calls for a home invasion involving three suspects at a Murray Drive residence.

A third 911 call advised police of three suspicious people running on Empire Street. Officers searched the area and located, and arrested, two of the suspects on Pleasant Street without incident around 7:00 p.m. Police say a third suspect was located and arrested without incident around 9:15 p.m. at a residence on Pleasant Street.

In a release, police said Darcy Johnson, age 41, and Daniel Johnson, age 22, of Gold River, Nova Scotia, each face the following charges:
• Break and enter into a residence with intent to commit an indictable offence
• Conspiring to commit an indictable offence
• Mischief causing damage to property

Kyle Rafuse, age 36, of Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia, faces charges of:
• Break and enter into a residence with intent to commit an indictable offence
• Conspiring to commit an indictable offence
• Mischief causing damage to property
• Counselling others to be party to an offence (break and enter for the purposes of theft)

The three individuals were remanded into custody and were scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on Feb. 20.
