SHELBURNE, NS

Shelburne RCMP is investigating an armed robbery at a gas station on Falls Lane in Shelburne.

RCMP say that officers responded to a report of an armed robbery on Dec. 26, at around 10:56 p.m.

Police say a man allegedly entered the gas station and demanded money from the cashier while pointing what appeared to be a firearm at them. The suspect fled the scene on foot towards Wrights Road.

Police say the employee was not physically injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as wearing a black face mask, black jacket, black pants, and a brown moustache visible from underneath his mask. Police believe the man may have been picked up on Wrights Road by a  white compact sedan, captured on surveillance video, traveling south on Water Street.
