Halifax police ask public to help identify robbery suspect

Halifax Regional Police is asking the public to help identify a suspect in a robbery that took place on August 4 in Halfiax.
Police say that approximately 11:00 a.m., on August 4, officers responded to a robbery in the 3500 block of Claremont Street. The suspect approached a woman in her 60s from behind, pushed her to the ground and continued to assault her.
The suspect then took the victim's wallet and fled the area on foot, travelling north on Claremont Street and crossing Connolly Street.
Police describe the suspect as a white woman with a slim build, approximately 25-years-old, with blonde hair in a short ponytail. The suspect was wearing a white shirt, jeans and a black mask over her face.
Police are asking anyone with information about the identity of the suspect or video from the area to call 902-490-5016. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or by using the P3 Tips app.
