Halifax police charge man for break and enter on River Road

Halifax police have charged a man in relation to a break and enter that took place in Halifax on Jan. 19.

Police say that at around 3:00 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a break and enter at a home under construction on River Road. The suspect was arrested a short distance from the home with stolen building materials.

A 59-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date.

The man is facing charges of break and enter, theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
