Unique Canadian flag stolen from building in Lunenburg

A unique Canadian flag, measuring 40 feet wide by 18 feet tall, was stolen from a building on King Street in Lunenburg between 10:00 p.m. June 30, and 7:00 a.m. July 1.
RCMP say that the flag was on display when it was stolen.
The flag has special meaning to the owner, as it had once flown on the Peace Tower in Ottawa.
