22-year-old Hillside man, Andrew Langley, charged with child pornography offences

The RCMP's provincial Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit has charged a Hillside man for child pornography offences. The investigation began in March 2021, after receiving information from the National Child Exploitation Crime Centre.

According to police, on July 8, the RCMP's provincial ICE Unit searched a Hillside residence, assisted by the RCMP's Digital Forensic Services Unit, along with the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, and Pictou County District RCMP.

22-year-old Andrew Langley, of Hillside, was arrested without incident at his home. Langley has been charged with possession of child pornography and transmitting child pornography. Langley was released on a number of strict conditions and is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on September 13, 2021, at 9:30 a.m.
